Simply put, it is our desire that everyone who comes in contact with Ridgeview would do these three things: enter, connect, serve. It’s that simple. No more than we ask of ourselves; no less than what Christ has done for us. >more

Life Groups

LIFE Groups are intentional efforts to create an atmosphere that causes believers and non-believers to grow in their understanding and application of God’s direction in our lives. LIFE Groups help create Biblical community.

Throughout the Bible, community is a theme. God has always been calling out a people for Himself, beginning with His first creation and continuing with Israel and the New Testament church. Even when the Jews were dispersed among enemy nations during times of captivity, they organized themselves into where they could serve one another and carry out their beliefs.

In Acts 2, the first century church met in temple courts (Sunday morning worship) and in house to house (home group) settings. These new church communities began as small groups, just as Jesus had modeled with the 12 (Mark 3:14; Luke 6:12-19).

Over 50 Biblical one anothers’ encourage and challenge us to be closely involved with a few others (LIFE Groups) in order that we might learn and imitate attitudes and behaviors that characterize God’s household the community of believers.
We believe accountability, care, and a sense of belonging are critical to balance and progress in our spiritual journey. These are best achieved within the context of a LIFE Group of like-minded, relationally-connected believers.

At Ridgeview, the LIFE Group is the best place for sustained life change to occur. In a home group, people study God’s Word together and discuss the issues and challenges of life.

Practically speaking, there will never be a way for the staff to personally minister to everyone who attends our church. That’s why we place such a high premium on group life. It’s how we minister effectively to each other.
